News from The Associated PressWASHINGTON (AP) -- The number of people applying for unemployment benefits was mostly unchanged last week. A slight dip in applications suggests the job market isn't getting much better. Applications ticked down 1,000 to a seasonally adjusted 404,000, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Mitt's bad news

Herman Cain is now tied or leading Mitt Romney in every national poll I've seen in the last two days. Keep in mind, his lead comes with Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann still in the race and dividing the conservative vote. Mitt should be scared.
