Gibbs Tries To Explain Obama's Surge Flip Flop

Mr. Gibbs is so funny. I cannot wait to see what our President has to say tonight regarding the Iraq war. Let's take a poll about Gretchen's question: Will Obama credit George W. Bush regarding succes in Iraq and specifically, the Surge? Yes or no?

President Obama's Recovery Summer Vacation

From The Heritage Foundation: Hopefully one day we can look back on these videos and laugh. Individually we see these clips and shake our heads, but when they're put together like this in a clever montage, it becomes frightening. Which statement from the video frightens you the most?

CNSNews.com - Project 21 Chairman Blasts Sharpton over Glenn Beck Rally

Courtesy of CNSNews.com: I would pay to watch Mychal Massie debate Al Sharpton. Sharpton is never called on blatant racist behavior. It's been said here many times, if Sharpton were genuinely concerned about black americans, he would be a Conservative.

What We Saw at the Glenn Beck Rally in DC

Pretty good review of Beck's rally yesterday. Do you agree when the host says, "the people here are somewhat inarticulate on what was lost, but they know they want to gain something back"? Also, how great is the black american?!

Al Sharpton: Glenn Beck Trying to "Hijack" Civil Rights Movement - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

We all knew this was inevitable. Al Sharpton claiming Dr. King was in favor of government intervention in minorities lives. Umm no Mr. Sharpton, Dr. King wanted the government to protect equality of lives. It is your political policy positions that suppress the liberties, freedoms and potential of minorities in this great country. Dare I say that African Americans would be better off without your support Mr. Sharpton?

Victory is the Only Option

Thank you to Sarah Palin for sharing this clip. It is true, we do not say this enough, God Bless our troops!

Bernanke: Fed will take action if economy falters - Yahoo! Finance

With many of our fellow citizens unemployed and desperate for work, there are calls for more government intervention to "prop-up" our economy. Do you want government intervention to prevent a depression (assuming we're not in one now) or do you feel it is time for an economic "cleansing"?

FOXNews.com - Economic Growth Rate Downgraded to Anemic 1.6 Percent in Second Quarter

More bad news everyone. Q2 GDP figures revised downward. As an FYI, to officially emerge from a recession you need consecutive quarters of 5.5% GDP growth or better. We are nowhere near this rate of growth. Compound this with multiple economists saying today that the administration's gun barrel of solutions is empty. They've done everything they can, really?

President Barack Obama's Endgame: A Look At The National Debt

Pretty rhetoric heavy video from the House Republicans but it once again showcases the economic brilliance of one of our favorites, Paul Ryan. The debt figures from Washington to George W. Bush compared to Obama's 19 month reign never ceases to astonish me.

Wheat, Weed, and ObamaCare: How the Commerce Clause Made Congress All-Po...

I hope some of you get the time to watch this 10 minute video on the commerce clause by Reason TV. John Eastman is the superstar in this video (Mark Levin favorite and the former professor of one of my good college friends). It truly is remarkable how the liberal packed courts have abused our Constitution.

VENABLE: Texas fights global-warming power grab - Washington Times

Mark Levin talks about how Media Matters is a criminal front group, the EPA invented criminal front groups. The EPA needs to go. These power hungry, egotistical people with their holier than though credo are single handedly dismantling the private sector as we know it. The only thing that stands between them and American economic domination is a handful of RINO votes on cap-and-trade. Stand strong Texas.

Christie - Race to the Top

This video needs to be watched by our so called "conservative leaders". Chris Christie, for all of his faults, knows how to lead. The last 30 seconds show exactly how to be such a leader. President Obama, take note.

The Case Against Corporate Social Responsibility - WSJ.com

Great article from The Wall Street Journal. Government regulations are insanely costly. Profits follow demand. If demand says, we want higher gas mileage or healthier food, these companies will push to be the first to market to address the demands. This is why profits are good. Innovation and economies of scale always benefit the consumer, the job market, and our pocketbooks.

Poll: Americans seem lukewarm on Obama's tax plan | Reuters

"The Republican plan would impact only two to three percent of all Americans." What this article fails to address is that 100% of income earners get the continued benefits of the Bush tax cuts. Let's not forget what percent the 2-3% make up of all tax revenue.

Further, what does it say about our country when "A CNN poll last week found 51% back Obama's plan to extend the lower rates for the middle class only"? People enjoy socialism. They like having their benefits paid for by those who make more. These are the same people that want gay marriage out of "fairness". Hypocrites.

Little-known fact: Obama's failed stimulus program cost more than the Iraq war | Washington Examiner

Erick Erickson and Mark Levin, here is the real red-meat article of the day. If this gets out, liberals will have absolutely nothing to say in November 2010 or November 2012. All from their beloved Congressional Budget Office too. Pass this one around friends!

Justice Department approves Georgia voter verification system | Georgia Elections News

Why would be people be opposed to States checking citizenship of voters? Are you not required to be a citizen to vote? Do you just take someone's word for it when they come to vote? What are your thoughts? This will inevitably become a hot topic in the months to come.

Rep. Phil Hare: Questions About the Constitution & Health Care Are "Sill...

Good to see Rep. Phil Hare (D-IL) has come around on the Constitution. You would think at some point he would pick it up, read it from end to end and answer this question. Of course, this is rhetorical because he knows the Constitution does not grant the power to the federal government to compel its citizens to purchase a good or service.

Hot Air Dick Armey to GOP: Why don’t you have the guts to support Paul Ryan’s roadmap?

osted for the embedded video. Mr. Armey makes Granholm look foolish in this clip, then again, when hasn't Ms. Granholm looked foolish when explaining her positions on issues? Exit question, do you agree with Mr. Armey? Is courage the only thing standing between Republicans and their support of Paul Ryan's roadmap?

Deficits are Bad, but the Real Problem is Spending

I love this video for many reasons but for one in particular: it illustrates why Conservatives were/are so disappointed in George W. Bush. It also illustrates why there is the grassroots groundswell of Tea Party Patriots. This spending needs to get under control. A roadmap like Paul Ryan's will show our government is serious about fixing the problem. Remember November is the first step in the process.

Dick Armey and Matt Kibbe: A Tea Party Manifesto - WSJ.com

From the The Wall Street Journal. Tea Party Patriots do not subscribe to any one particular political party but our natural home is the Republican Party. The RP abandoned us during the Bush presidency and now we are feeling the consquences of the spending of the last 10 years (yes this includes Democrat controlled Congress since 2006 and Obama's presidency).

Rand Paul: Keep EPA out of Ky. affairs - U.S. Senate Election - Kentucky.com

Rand Paul comes out swinging against President Obama and the EPA. He articulates a point Conservatives and Republicans alike need to stress: we understand that regulations are necessary, but to burden the free-market and prevent employment and productivity through over reaching and out of touch regulation is plain wrong. When laws and regulations are state-driven, efficiency in production and effectiveness or regulation is far more likely to occur.

Obama warns of Republican plans on Social Security

Courtesy of Breitbart. What this puke of a President fails to understand or accept is that if we do not privatize social security in some way, shape or form, it's doomed to collapse under the weight of its own indebtedness. But that is part of the whole scheme isn't it Barack? Because then we'd need a social security bailout....Paul Ryan is your kryptonite. I look forward to him wiping the floor with you again in another debate on fiscal responsibility. You're out of your league Mr. President.

Mark Levin was absolutely incredible last night. Here is the highlight. And Mark, you so perfectly capture my mood it is frightening! Doesn't the Patton music just get you fired up to vote?!

Barack Obama "Public Will Have 5 Days To Look At Every Bill That Lands O...

This is classic. As the person who uploaded this video points out, there are 7 distinct lies here:

1. Make Government Open and Transparent
2. Make it "Impossible" for Congressmen to slip in Pork Barrel Projects
3. Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public
4. No more secrecy
5. Public will have 5 days to look at a Bill
6. You'll know what's in it
7. We will put every pork barrel project online

FOXNews.com - Arizona Lawsuit Is Latest to Challenge to Federal Health Care Law

We cannot lose sight of how destructive ObamaCare will be on our economy (and is already). Arizona is firing on all cylindars right now between immigration and health care. Electing Conservatives in November make the process of de-funding or repealing and replacing Obama Care all the more possible. We must stay motivated!

Washington vs. Paul Ryan - WSJ.com

The Wall Street Journal with another piece on Paul Ryan's Roadmap. Defining comment, "In that sense, Mr. Ryan is really presenting Washington with a philosophical choice between the status quo of an ever-larger and ever-more indebted government and a plan to pay for the promises we've made while still preserving free markets and economic growth." Wow! And Democrats claim Republicans do not have ideas.

Blame Barney Frank for the Recession, Not George Bush - Big Government

From Big Government.com - This is a must "pass along" for those with liberal friends who want to blame George W. Bush for the housing market collapse. Barney Frank is an embarrassment to our country the way he has not taken even some responsibility for what is going on with FMae & FMac. It is very telling when Frank says in the 2nd video that we need to push for home ownership...because, along with healthcare, home ownership is a "right" as well.

Marco Rubio Responds To Harry Reid's "Outrageous" Remarks

Just another reason to vote for Marco Rubio in Florida and Sharron Angle in Nevada. It is shocking that the voters in Florida and Nevada even allow these races to be close in the polls. Charlie Crist and Harry Reid? Really? How hasn't this quote been all over the news? It is appauling (but not shocking) how Reid plays the race card here. I'm trying not to lose my cool....

Federal workers earning double their private counterparts - USATODAY.com

This is the article Sean Hannity and Mark Levin discussed last night. This is the scariest part, "Federal compensation has grown 36.9% since 2000 after adjusting for inflation, compared with 8.8% for private workers." It is time to reverse course folks. Republican and Democrat spending over the last 10 years needs to be reversed. It is time for government cleansing.

The Obama presidency increasingly resembles a modern-day Ancien Rgime: extravagant and out of touch with the American people – Telegraph Blogs

Sent to me by an old friend. The UK headlines I took pictures of this summer complement this article nicely. I read Democracy in America by Alexis de Tocqueville at Mark Levin's suggestion. This article asks what AdT would say to what is going on now....AdT predicts this would happen. A couple takeaways: 1) it's funny how he calls out the LSM (as Sarah Palin kindly refers to them) 2) it is not lost on a Brit what makes the USA great 3) "a political revolution fast approaching Washington that is driven not by mob rule but by the power of ideas and principles, based upon the ideals of the Founding Fathers and the US Constitution." We Tea Party Patriots are on the right side of history.

The Left: Sanctioning Infanticide As an Ends Justifying The Means | RedState

For those who think Conservatives should not engage in the abortion debate, please watch this lengthy video of Rick Santorum debating Babs Boxer on the Senate floor. Mr. Santorum makes Babs look foolish. Sound logic and constructive, point-by-point questioning prove how insensible Democrats and liberals are on this issue. Red State documents the highlights in text but the video makes it clear how incoherent Babs is.

Sarah Palin's Homer Moment-D'Oh!

Democratic candidates ignore legislative successes - latimes.com

Democrats not campaigning on the major legislative accomplishments over the last 18 months...Hmmm, is that because a majority of people dislike those legislative accomplishments? Sounds a bit tyrannical, no? At this point, what can Democrats run on? 1) Bush is not President 2) 9.5% unemployment 3) Failed stimulus 4) Overwhelmingly unpopular ObamaCare 5) Deficits, deficits, deficits. Republicans, it's time for a revived Contract with America....thoughts?

MARK LEVIN happy days are here again

Listening to Rush Limbaugh and the EIB Network yesterday reminded me of a call Mark Levin took last year. Did a search and found it. Enjoy the few minutes of Mark toying with a liberal caller. Note to fans 1) happy days still aren't here after 18 months and 2) Obama hasn't cleaned up anything. Happy days indeed.

Krugman's detour on 'Roadmap' to solvency - JSOnline

Our favorite fiscal hawk is at it again. Paul Ryan delivering an opinion piece that anything but opinion. Liberals and Democrats continuously say Conservatives and Republicans want to end Social Security and Medicare as we know it.....duh! They're going to be extinct if we don't sunset the benefits and replace them with something sustainable (privatization). Mr. Ryan recognizes this problem and is actively working to wake other politicians from their free-spending, entitlement happy slumber. Hindsight is 20/20, Paul Ryan's foresight is 20/20 in this case.....

GOP’s Graham: Jesus’s ‘Golden Rule’ Compelled Me to Vote for Kagan - Big Government

Mr. Graham, do you really think Jesus would compel you to vote for a woman that will defend and adovocate the ability to kill a baby? Your logic is incredibly sound.

Conservatives4Palin.com: Governor Palin's Accomplishments

Not that we need to defend Sarah Palin's accomplishments, but here is a handy list for those who regularly debate people that are clueless on this remarkable, Conservative woman. To say Palin is not experienced is an insult to the President. As Rush Limbaugh and the EIB Network says, "Obama is the dumbest man in whatever room he walks into."

Nanny of the Month for July 2010: San Fran Soda Banner Mayor Newsom

I have railed against Mayor Newsom for a long time for many reasons. Here is a short video as to why this man is a menace to the great city of San Francisco. He takes great pride in being a tyrant. Please folks, do not judge me for attending Santa Clara University. Not all of us SCU alumni are like Janet Napolitano, Leon Panetta and Gavin Newsom.

What Recovery Summer? | The Foundry: Conservative Policy News.

The Heritage Foundation on top of it as usual. We pointed out yesterday, this is no summer of recovery. Obama will tout the handful of thousands of jobs created in the private sector (not to minimize these jobs) to downplay the other horrific statistics that go along with the numbers. With the census workers out of jobs and the few thousand of private sector jobs created, how did the unemployment rate remain the same? The sad answer is that people have given up looking. This nation is demoralized. Where is our inspirational Reagan? We don't want hollowed words Mr. President, we want Conservative action and policy behind those words (fat chance). Who will emerge?

CNSNews.com - Alan Keyes: Under Obama ‘We Shall All Become Slaves on the Government’s Plantation’

Courtesty of CNSNews.com. Alan Keyes was the first living, black conservative I had exposure to as a young person. I have long since admired his courage of being a non-apologetic black conservative because he was never looked upon favorably by the black community. He continues to fight liberalism and defend the principles of our founders. His analogy of government dependence to slavery will be controversial (as was Sharron Angle's), but the analogy, I feel, is appropriate.

FOXNews.com - Illegal Immigrant Suspected of Killing Nun in Head-On Drunken Driving Crash

@Paula U....blonde and named Smith? Hopefully you ignorant folks that think illegal immigrants only reside in border states wisen up. This SOB killed a woman who selflessly gave her life to poverty and Christ and for what? To live in our country illegally, get drunk and be wreckless behind the wheel of a car....for the 3rd time no less! Mark Levin, please smack around a few drones over this tonight.

Mexican Drug Cartel Allegedly Puts a Price on Arizona Sheriff's Head

Via The Daily Caller. I doubt this will incentivize the Obama administration to secure the border. This is getting scary and sad quickly. I am sort of at a loss for words over this....

Rep. Ryan pushes budget reform, and his party winces

A good piece from the Washington Post on Paul Ryan. We have debated the positives and negatives of Ryan's Roadmap, but let's say this, he is the only politician, Republican or Democrat to put out a plan bold enough to restore some fiscal sanity to this great nation. As his roadmap proves, it will be a painful process, but a process we must go through at some point.

PETE STARK: - The Federal Government can do most anything in this count...

Courtesy of Breitbart...This woman is simply amazing. She lays out a simple, definable premise for Stark and let's him, voluntarily, put both of his feet in his own mouth. This woman is correct in saying that he is destroying this country. Taking an oath to defend and protect the Constitution is meaningless anymore. (Mark Levin and Jedediah Bila you'll enjoy this).

Congress questions BP's use of dispersants in Gulf - Yahoo! News

What would it take to eliminate the EPA? They are now arguing BP used too many dispersants on the Gulf oil spill. Okay, let me get this straight, we'd rather have oil out, exposed, untreated and on the shore than utilize proven, chemical solutions. This is the same federal agency that says a gas that is required for human life (carbon) is a pollutant....and the liberals want this group running and taking over our economy via cap and trade. No thank you.

Ronald Reagan on Limited Government

Nothing motivates me more than clips of Ronald Reagan. November is our chance to restore power of government to the people. We must restore a check and a balance to the corruption and soft-tyranny (Mark Levin) that is driving our nation today. We must not lose our focus, energy or spirit. We Tea Party Patriots will take back our government and restore fiscal sanity to our great nation.

FOXNews.com - Palin Says Brewer Has Something Obama Lacks: 'Cojones'

Sarah Palin is one of the few Conservative figures who speaks their mind. In my opinion this is what frightens the left. Palin says what the American public is thinking and doesn't care what the mainstream media says. People can identify with this no BS approach to politics....bear in mind it can be a risky political calculation. But isn't this exactly the reason Palin rose to national prominance? She has the "every man/woman" appeal that so many other politicians lack. What are your thoughts? Does Palin's no BS approach to politics appeal to you?
